Noe Valley Mediterranean

NOE VALLEY MEDITERRANEAN

Set in San Francisco's Noe Valley, this project breathes new life into a 1938 Mediterranean Revival home through an interior design that layers warmth, color, and global influence onto a thoughtfully renovated foundation. The homeowners, both longtime Apple employees with a young family, sought a designer who could push them beyond their comfort zone within the Apple aesthetic while honoring their love of beautiful, durable materials, and intuitive design. Inspiration came from their honeymoon in Morocco and a shared love of the outdoors, woven throughout the home in zellige tile, roman clay walls, rich textiles, and sculptural wood pieces. The result is a 3,750-square-foot home that artfully balances family life and adult retreat — from a moody dining room destination anchored by peronsally resonating artwork and vintage chairs, to a primary suite enveloped in plaster, drapery, and textile art referencing topography and geology, to playful, bright spaces designed just for the kids.
