CAROLINE BRENNAN / OPERATIONS MANAGER

Caroline was born in San Francisco and raised in Marin and Sonoma County. Inspired by a wonderful teacher, Caroline developed a passion for the French language, which in turn deepened her appreciation for tasteful fashion and design. While earning her Bachelor's Degree in Foreign Language at the University of New Orleans, her curiosity for design and historical architecture expanded. Upon returning to California, she joined the students at UC Berkeley Extension and began drafting courses.

Stepping into the industry with the intention of becoming a draftsperson, she found that her true interest was in business. Caroline has been building her career "behind the scenes" for several respected designers, honing her skills and business acumen. She joined our team in 2021 and looks forward to continuing to develop the firm’s strong business performance.

Caroline lives in Larkspur along Corte Madera Creek. She loves to travel, sing, and play piano. Her weekends are spent with family, friends, and her chihuahua rescues, Birdie and Piglette.

It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.

Don’t worry about sounding professional. Sound like you. There are over 1.5 billion websites out there, but your story is what’s going to separate this one from the rest. If you read the words back and don’t hear your own voice in your head, that’s a good sign you still have more work to do.

Be clear, be confident and don’t overthink it. The beauty of your story is that it’s going to continue to evolve and your site can evolve with it. Your goal should be to make it feel right for right now. Later will take care of itself. It always does.

KAREN JACOB / DESIGNER

Some may believe that interior design is primarily a visual form, but to Karen, it begins and ends with feeling—from the tactile nature of materials used to the sense of inhabiting a space.

Growing up in Qatar, Karen’s exposure to futuristic buildings was early on and she developed an interest in architecture & design. She received her undergraduate degree in Architecture and graduate degree in Interior Architecture & Design.

Prior to joining Form+Field, Karen has gained experience in designing for multiple high end residential, mixed-use, urban and workplace projects across the globe. Karen’s design process starts from the use of hand sketches as a tool to quickly explore design options, to iterating through various design ideas, resulting in refined renders for the space.

Outside of architecture & design, Karen loves to sing and spend time connecting with nature. She also enjoys exploring new recipes in the kitchen.

It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.
